以下是我們的生產計劃。或許該說生產準備計畫，是我們所希望生產進行的方式。當然，我完全了解大多數時候生產並不會如妳所想像般順利進行，但我想這個計劃最重要的部分，其實是整個準備的過程。在這個過程裏，我們必須了解關於生產的程序、知識以了解自己的喜好和風險，更重要的是，藉由準備，我們對「生產」一事有更多的決定權和控制權。



我想這才是生產計畫真正的精髓所在。

Labor:

Calm Environment

Least traffic possible (Doctors, nurses and partner present only. No residents or students.)

To have intermittent rather than continuous fetal monitoring

To stay hydrated by drinking clear fluids instead of having an IV

To have a heparin lock

To walk and move around as I choose

Most comfortable and effective pushing position



Pain Relief

Please don’t offer me pain medication. I will request it if I need it.

If I decided that I need pain medication, I would prefer an epidural block.





Vaginal Birth

To risk a tear rather than have an episiotomy

To hold my baby immediately after birth, putting off any procedures that aren’t urgent

To breastfeed exclusively as soon as possible

My husband to cut the cord
